Coming together as friends and sharing knowledge in the technology of steam engines and related model building. Sharing knowledge with interested parties at events. Respecting each other's ideas and building methods.

House rules
- All members are friends, we treat each other with respect and accept each other's ideas and construction methods. - New members must be nominated by current members and are immediately admitted if there are no objections from the majority of current members. - New members must already be active in 1 or more areas of interest.
Safety
Safety when using a steam boiler is essential, which is why we use the Model Steam Boiler Inspection Regulations. This was created through collaboration between Stoomgroep Holland (SGH), the Dutch Association of Model Builders (NVM), the Stoomgroep Turnhout (SGT), the KMYCA from Antwerp and the national Dutch steam groups, affiliated with the SvS, the Cooperation of Steam Groups. https://www.onderstoom.nl/website/veiligheid/ Members are responsible for having their boilers inspected and must have the correct third-party liability insurance for events.
